Hello, I’m Charlotte.
I am stunned by the absence of women’s history as I pound London’s streets with my brood of buggies and school bags. I decided to tell my daughters the stories of women pioneers, and to place those stories on the streets of London. “She was brilliant, and she lived here”.
These women created their homes when they left family for the big smoke, received a marriage proposal, filed for divorce, catapulted into a career, or moved closer to their workplace to forge firsts in their field. My research has created a living history (or herstory) of London. I do hope you enjoy it.
